Grant's letter - May 18, 2016

Subject: Re: More Pau

Had a solid week, it rained all week so we spent more time then normal
going door to door. We knocked on a lot of doors in our own
neighborhood and surprisingly, the sister got there first! Haha, we
talked to a good dozen people who had already talked to the sisters
and thought they were absolutely adorable! Haha, so there is that.

Robertine was doing really well, saw her three times this week and
have everything going great for her baptism on the fourth. However,
our last rendez-vous with her she expressed her sadness for her
daughter who will be going into surgery in Madagascar. It's really
unfortunate that she can't be there. She wants everything to go well
so we have been praying lots for the both of them. Robertine moved to
France, got married, divorced, and has been working here to support
her daughter in Madagascar. She is living pretty rough but we love her
a lot. The Ward has been great in getting members to our appointments
with her. She knows a good bunch of people now.

Pierre fixed a date for the 23 of July. It's a ways out but he seems
fixed on it. His mom will fly out that day or in the month of August.
Fingers crossed she makes it out in July. He wouldn't see us this week
because his girl is in town... :/ she is an active member in Toulouse
and even came to church twice but she sucks up all of his time! Haha,
I am starting to better understand how my parents feel about my
relationships :P

Elder Orr and I came to the conclusion that Pau(pronounced P-oh) is
one of the most underrated cities. Everyone thinks that it's like a
struggling branch out in the middle of a forest but it has a
prospering Ward and wonderfully strong members with a lot of
potential. We are going to try really hard to find some new people as
well as change this city forever :)

Avec amour,
Elder Keller
