Troy and Carlin's weekend in Maine

So this story is about acquiring miles on Delta.  Oh, I know that got your attention.  Well, once upon a time there was this incredible husband who flew all over the world so that he could accrue miles for his family to go on fun vacations, with or without him.  Um, I mean there once was this hard working husband that did everything his job required of him and in the process of working very hard for his employer he happened to travel extensively, thus racking up miles with the airlines Delta and United.
One year this amazing man decided a change of jobs was in order.  So the family packed their bags and trundled off to the mountains.  After a quick trip to the capital of the country and back the couple realized that this hard working man would just be shy of getting his Diamond status again next year.  He dearly loved this status because he would get bumped up to the first class cabin where is 6'6" frame was able to stretch out in the very wide and comfortable seating at the front of the plane.  So this young man decided to use his free companion fare and travel as far as he could within the states to rack up enough miles that he could retain his flying status for one more year.  Because with his new job he would not be traveling as much and he would definately not be seeing those comfy front row seats for many more moons.
So off they went to the land of Maine, a place they had never visited before.  It being November there was a definite chill in the air, good thing they brought scarves and gloves.  They ate delicious scallions, oysters and clam chowder at the Oyster Bar.  They drove up the coast to see the ocean.  They crossed many bridges and walked though some small towns and churches. They bought souvenirs at the Mexicali Blues store.   And they enjoyed all of the first class upgrades on their flights too and from Maine.  Thus they were very happy and comfortable on their way home to the mountains.
But best of all this hard working husband flew far enough and high enough to retain his Diamond status for one more year.  Thus making his wife incredibly happy to also get bumped up for one more year.  Now off to plan many travels before the year is out.
