My "got suckered" moments this month

Ethan had all A's last term and thought that deserved some ice cream, so when the boys lost their first Jr. Jazz basketball game, which I had coached - due to Troy being out of town- even though I was the one to make him coach because no one else signed up to and I don't like not knowing what is going on with all of the kids extra ciricular activities... ok so you can feel a smidge sorry for Troy, but more for me because it's hard to sub 9 boys to get equal play time and still keep the team spirits up and tell them what to do (well, they sort of just play no matter what I told them so that was the easy part).  So to cheer Ethan up I offered at 9 o'clock at night to get some ice cream.  I'm such a sucker.
Taking Percy to get his hair cut.  Our crazy dog thinks he rules the window buttons.  At first we thought it was a fluke, but no he paws at the side of the door until the windows roll down.  If I lock them so they can't roll down, because its cold out side, he now sits and wimpers in the seat like he is crying.  So again I'm a sucker and just turn up the heat as he runs back and forth from window to window sticking his head out.  You would think it would freeze his nose and he'd behave but no... and yes he has jumped out of the suburban window before so I can't let him roll the windows down all the way! Crazy dog.

I had to convince Ana into going to WX's production of Grease.  Morgan, Grant and I wanted to go.  Ethan wanted to go but had basket ball and so Tanya and Victor opted to go to basket ball practice with Ethan and Troy.  Ana wanted to go with Troy too, but he can't watch her and coach too, so I offered to buy treats so Ana would pick to go with me.  Hmm I think I may have been suckered in once again...  I guess it's a good thing I don't mind being manipulated by my cute kids (most of the time).  And Ana loved it because she got to dance in the aisles with some of the cast.

Vegas

Last Thursday, heading down to St. George to drop Ethan and Ana off with Grandma and Grandpa.  Troy's mom celebrated her 70th birthday last weekend in Las Vegas!  We had a babysitter, cute college neighbor watch the older kids, but thought she might be able to run Tanya to all of her games and pick everyone up if Ana & Ethan were "out of the way".  So I headed out with the little ones.  We stopped at my friends house for a little visit, which turned out to be a good thing.  The roads were wet the rest of the drive to St. George, we must have just missed all the storms.  The last hour we hit the end of a snow storm.  All the signs were plastered white and the plows were out so the roads weren't too bad at that point.  I was very happy I didn't have to drive in the snow.
Got the kids to Grandmas and headed on down to Vegas.  Troy's flight was a bit delayed and I drove right up to the airport to pick him up, worked out lovely.  We stayed at the Trump International.  Donald had been there that morning to endorse Mitt Romney.

Did some shopping and lots of eating at Ceasars palace and the Wynn over the weekend.  The Trump was nice because there were no casinos and thus no smoking as we were walking in and out to go places.  There was shuttle service to the Wynn and Ceasars, we later discovered they were all connected through the malls which ended right across from Trump.  Morgan loves Greek myths so I took some pics for her.
Had lunch Saturday at Max Brenner, everything Chocolate!

Chocolate fountain above.  We saw Cir de Elvis, they did a couple really cool gymnastic acts, one on trampolines with super heros and one on the bars in military uniforms.

Then next night we saw Donnie and Marie who were pretty fun and lively.  Grandma was on the front row getting lots of attention from Donnie (some hi fives!) and Troy and Brady got lots of winks from Marie, Troy even got her water bottle top.  Quite the night.

Betsy and Tiff had 70 people write what they liked best about Shareen and presented them to her in a cute hand bag Tiffy sewed.  Brett read a few and Brady told some stories.  I have that on video, no pics other than this one of Grandma holding her bag.  It was such a sweet thing to do and fun to hear the memories.

Happy 70th Grandma!  Thanks for letting us party with you : )
