Sister Missionaries Sang as They Walked and Walked and Walked and Walked and Walked....

Fun fact of the week: preying mantises are considered a sign of good luck in Tahiti !

Hello friends, whanau, acquaintances, etc.,

It has been a bit of time! Sorry bout that sometimes p days get a lil hectic Haha. Some funny stories of the week:

We have been working with this 13 year old recent concert who the sisters before me helped baptize. We were explaining how there are many things that are good but the world makes fun of. We asked Noah if he had ever experienced kids teasing him for being a member. He replied "they used to..." Now as any normal missionary concerns at that response, we asked him to elaborate on what he meant. He proceeded to explain that "A few kids were making fun the church so I punched one in the face and threw the other to the ground". I was trying not to laugh and encourage him, and we explained that even if they're making fun of the church, you arent allowed to punch them. He looked a little sad, but said he wouldnt do it again. Kids these days crack me up :,)

All of the Spanish! So in the OTC (man havent talked about that place for a hot minute!) We have been getting little to no requests in English, so I've mostly had to reach out to people in Spanish. Which is always terrifying, but good! Looking back, out of my 5 online baptisms I've had, 4 have been Spanish speaking. I can truly see how the Lord has helped me use my talents even on a random island in the land down under the land down under! Also theres this Chilean(?) Woman living with a member and she made me speak to her in Spanish the whole time we visited hahaha... tiempos buenos!

We have been sharing a car recently so weve been doing lots and lots of walking. I know all my friends serving in biking missions are rolling their eyes at me, and I dont blame you at all Haha. But this is the first time I've been carless, (I just thought of a terrible joke: what do you call it when George Micheal talks softly while he takes the bus? A carless whisper hahahahahah) so weve been finding new ways to keep ourselves entertained while we walk and the best way so far has been singing! I didnt realize how many hymns I knew all the verses to...

This week I've also been feeling a feeling rebellious... in the White hand book It says that there are to be no pets. But one day we came back to our flat, and found a praying mantis chilling on our couch! So we adopted him and named him Lasagna Jr. :) we just let him roam around the house while we're out proselyting, and he always stays in relatively the same spot so we've decided to keep him. Will add pictures below.

Well hopefully this was a slightly entertaining update on the life of Sister Morgan keller! As always I love love you all and know the church is truer than the fact that I drink Milo for breakfast every morning!! Have a great week :)

To Morgan From Dad

Morgan,
We enjoyed UEA in St George this weekend. Lots of adventures. Mom will have to send you a photo of her bloody lip following her bike crash. Ouch.

Last photo—decided to turn Ana and Ethan into westies for the drive down. Saves on space and they smelled better.

I thought I'd add a couple of pictures from St. George too.  Dad and I biking before I went over the handlebars and got a little whiplash and concussion :)  Me with my fat/cut lip after I crashed on my bike.

Dad and the kids taking a little tour in the Museum of Hurricane.  We got home to some flooding in the basement due to the sprinkler guy closing the sewer valve instead of the water valve.

September Happenings

Ok.  September was a crazy, fun, busy, awesome month for me!  September 1st Ethan and I headed off to meet Grandma and Grandpa Keller and Uncle Kim in Alaska to go fishing!  What a blast.  It was fun to spend a few days with Ethan, even if it wasn't as cool for him as it was for me, I think over all he put up with me and enjoyed the trip.  He loved every kind of fishing we did up there in Ketchikan Alaska.  Now I didn't put every picture we took, but I did put a lot of them, so heads up there will be some scrolling to get through them all.

I sent Ethan home with all of the fish so he could make it to Comicon with Grayce.  They had a great time together and Grayce got to meet and take pictures with Spider-man.  Tom Holland.
I on the other hand caught a flight out of Washington and headed back to Alaska.  I went up to Anchorage to stay the week with Amy and Mary.  They were the best tour guides ever!  We headed out the next morning to see Denali national park on our way to Fairbanks to chase some norther lights.  We saw some moose and an arctic wolf on our journey.  Then we stopped and rode bikes around the North Pole and spent the rest of the trip chasing glaciers!  Road side glaciers, lake glaciers (where we took a train, bike and kayak to get to it) and a cruise to a glacier out in the bay.  Alaska was so beautiful and amazing, I really had no idea what I was getting into and I go back again in a heart beat.  I saw three different types of whales while we were out and about too.

I got home from Alaska just in time to do a load of laundry and pack everyone up to go to Idaho fro Maggie and Cody's wedding.  So fun to see her so happy and to be around family.

Of course I wasn't quite done vacationing just yet.  My New York group of girl friends took a trip down to Lake Powell.  Thanks to Bridget for making it happen and Jen for planning crafting activities we had a wonderful time boating around and seeing different places.  We hiked/walked through a slot canyon, boated clear out to Rainbow Bridge, up a couple canyons and out to the damn.  We had lunch on the water and slept on the house boat.  It was great to just relax and hang out together.

Troy and Percy having a bonding moment, hahaha.  And I got back in time for these two Seniors to take dates to Homecoming Dance.  They got a big group together and we did dinner at our house.  Ethan asked Shaylee, who he met up at Utah Business Week and Ana asked a friend from Viewmont HS.
