Where Daisy's Grow Wild

 Kia ora!!

Well my mission has finally come to an end! I am heading home to Utah and will be giving my homecoming talk on June 21 in Farmington Utah because of the Corona virus, hope to see you all there!

Haha jokes I dont think I'll be giving a homecoming talk. But I did just get back! This mission has definitely been one of the best experiences of my life, I wouldnt trade it for anything. I have learned so much about how the atonement can heal and that God is our loving Heavenly father. I have come to love the people of New Zealand! This is definitely where I was supposed to be these last 18 months.

I know the church is true! I love you all, best of luck!

Ofa atu!

The best mission EVER

Fun quote of the week: "Singing is just controlled screaming" (by Sister raymond, my last companion. I just reread that and thought it was funny :))

Woah !! These past few weeks have been full of MIRACLES

We have found a few new people to teach! And we have had people come to church! We have two people we are regularly working with and have appointments with who are both great. They both just have a desire to better themselves and their families and enjoy what we have to offer. Now just to get them to come to church... speaking of we had a cool miracle! A member brought his friend, and his friend James was super into church! He even asked how one gets baptized into our church!. we offered to teach him but he said hed let the member know when hes ready. Hopefully its sooner than later...

For the rest of this transfer we have a new goal! Working with members! We were talking with a Sister the other day and she told us about how it's good we are baptizing people who come from humble circumstances, but a lot of the times the ward has to financially or spiritually provide for them. I had never really thought of that. When we brought that up with our bishop today, he was talking about how our ward is mostly first generation members and kind of lacks knowledge that a many members have. He said the best thing we could do for the ward is to have FHEs with families, but focus on Come follow me. I thought it was a great idea! So for comp study we went through come follow me for this upcoming week and instead of spiritual thoughts we are going to do come follow me with each family we visit. I was talking about it with Sister Spencer and we realized it's hard to expect a recent convert to stay active if the ward itself is struggling spiritually. So we are going to focus on strengthening the ward! Not through visits, but by helping teach them how they can best study the Book of Mormon, through come follow me! Of course we are not going to forget the people we are working with, but I am excited to see miracles in helping people come back to church and strengthen their testimony!

Sorry this email is super long I just have heaps of energy since I'm writing this Sunday night and then I'm going to copy and paste it tomorrow!! I hope you all know that Christ is our Saviour and he died for YOU so that you can be happy! I hope you all have the best week ever I love you each so much! :')))

COMPANIONS WITH A MASS MURDERER (not clickbate)

Fun fact of the week: here in New Zealand parking lots are called car parks!

Fun quote of the week from my brother Grant: "go big and THEN go home" (referring to my mission)

After seven long months, the fervent prayers of the Rototuna ward have been answered and I have been transferred! Haha jokes I know that ward loved me, and I Will miss them dearly. But I have been transferred to Rotorua! It is an interesting place. It smells like sulfur and steam randomly rises out of the ground, but it is beautiful and the people here have so much potential. We have been finding and teaching this week and it has been just great!

My companion is Sister Spencer, the literal sweetest human on earth. Why do I call.her a mass murderer you ask? Because I'm the 5th companion shell have killed, 4th in a row... but In non mission terms she wouldn't hurt a fly :)

It was difficult to say goodbye to Sister Raymond, the vine queen who understood all my meme references, but I'm very excited for this transfer.

I hope yous know I love and appreciate all of you! Tha is for your constant support, even when I accidentally send my emails twice...

Ofa atu!

I AM ROTOTUNA

Fun fact of the week: in the day of Moses they used to cut off thumbs as a punishment for those who stole :) fun things we teach when we go over the ten commandments!

Heyyy folks! This week has been CRAZY. And as touched as I am that you all responded to my email (and now I owe 5 people nz chocolate) that means I'll be writing every week... hope you're excited !

So some stuff went down with my daughter, Sister Tafao, and she had to return home to work on a few things. It was a struggle at first because I've grown to love her, but I know I'll be able to fulfill the Lords work this transfer :)

This week I've been with Sister Raymond which has been full of miracles! We set someone for baptism, taught a few good lessons, and have been contacting less actives trying to help them come back. We've been covering two areas, so currently I am the sister representative of Rototuna... (hence the email title) but it's been fun to be so busy!!

I know this is the trust church. I have struggled with my testimony a  bit, but I have come to see that the little miracles testify of the truthfulness of the gospel. I'm do grateful for this church, and for our loving heavenly father.

Ofa atu have a good week!

Here are some pictures of me with sister Raymond and a puppy, and Hobbiton!

Purple Dinosaur

Fun fact of the week: here Smarty candies are chocolate, not the weird powdered sugar candies we have in the states

Hello !! Once again I'm not dead!! Sorry I've been lacking the motivation to send out emails, but I promise things are still going here in New Zealand!

My daughter, sister Tafao is a beautiful but CRAZY human whom I love much. She claims American Samoa, but actually lived most her life in Alaska, and understands but doesn't speak Samoan

We have started teaching people again! Yay we aren't just constantly finding! We are working with A Hindi woman, a Pakea (white person), a Maori family, and a Fijian family at the moment! New Zealand is such a culturally diverse place it is amazing over here!

It is also getting HOT. Since were on an island it's like humid hot as well which is always fun... low key dying but grateful for aircon!!

To make up for my lack of emails I will send a plethora of pictures for your entertainment :))

Love yous all !!!!

-I will give a New Zealand chocolate to whoever can name that quote (I'm dead as serious. Also Lowkey trying to figure out if anyone still reads these to see if I can get away with not sending another email until my last week...? 🤔💁‍♀️)

KELLER/MORGAN 17MAR2020 AKL SFO

Morgan has recieved her travel documents to return home at the end of her mission. :) So excited to see her on March 17, 2020.

**Later update, we didn't know that there would be a Covid 19 pandemic.  She arrived home 3 days before they asked all missionaries to quarantine for two weeks after they arrived home.  And missionaries still in the field have to stay in their apartments and will be teaching online and over facebook.  What a blessing that Morgan, Sister Keller, was able to serve her mission and come home right before all of these changes.  She arrived home safely and without sickness.

2) I have a new companion from Alaska! Sister Tafao was born in American Samoa but raised in Alaska.
3) im a mom !!! Sis Tafao is my baby :))
4) the New Zealand  OTC shut down :( adjusting has still been hard, but its definitely been worth it
5) I ate wayyyyy too much for Christmas... #20kilo mission
6) I'm STILL in Rototuna Haha! I've been here for 6 months, I'll probably be here for another two if not my last transfer..

A week of laughter, burgers, and happily ever after

Fun fact of the week: even though most of the kiwis have never seen snow, they still consider a "white christmas" to be a traditional Christmas and hang up snowflake decorations Haha

Hello!!

So as the title stated, this week was great!

So on Tuesday through Thursday we had mission conference!! Basically our whole mission came together and we had devotionals, played games, ate delicious food, and laughed so so so much! I also played guitar (fancy smancy) and am actually significantly better than before the mission?? Watch out Grant I'm coming for you ;)

We also went on exchanges and I was with Sister Rome, this sweet sister from Papua new Guinea! For those of you who dont know, PNG is a very scary country with lots of violence and a corrupt government. Nonetheless she always had a big smile and a sweet spirit! I love her :)) we had  a member shout us burger fuel which is a super flash burger joint that has the MOST delicious burgers which make it so you cant eat for another 12 hours... so good!

And for the happily ever after... I had an online baptism!!! So I have been working with Aidan for about 8 months now, he came on as a book of Mormon request this March. When we called the number, his mom answered and said she wasnt interested, but then an hour later Aidan texted and asked if he could still have a copy. For the next six months me and three of my companions (Meto, Isabell, and Mariteragi) taught him online. We taught him all the discussions over messenger, and then in September he met with local missionaries. Earlier this week he just got baptized!! Hes so amazing I am so grateful for him and his testimony :))

I love love you all!! Have a splendid week ❤

Cool Beans

Fun fact of the week: If you ever go to Kiribati, don't say "komaremare Kiribati!" Apparently people will get mad...

So transfers happened... and I am staying in Rototuna for a fourth transfer with Sister Mariteragi! I am actually killing her, which is kind of sad, but I am so pumped to be with her another one! Shes very hard working and I know I'll continue to learn lots from her. A lot of sisters left to go home which was so hard for me but I know that they're in a better place now :,)

As a new transfer has come, we have made new transfer goals for baptism. One thing I love that our Zone leaders did was ask for a plan of how we are going to reach our goal! So we have a girl we've been working with for some time, and we usually teach a lesson to her each week with her siblings, who are recent concerts. Well recently weve started doing lessons with just her and we feel it will definitely help her faith progress!

Another highlight of my week was Sunday evening! Since the Tahitian sisters go on exchanges to work on the French queue, I go on exchanges with the other sisters to continue to get work done. Yesterday I went to a lesson in the Tuhikaramea ward with someone who speaks Spanish! So I was able to translate the whole lesson! It was exciting as I haven't been able to teach a Spanish lesson  yet. That was a miracle for me!

Hope yous all have a great week !!

Ofa atu!

Hello From The Other Side... Of The Equator

Fun fact of the week: Tahitians eat banana with everything! Even chicken...

Heyyya toks!

So it's been two weeks! Noice. Sorry bout that haha.

So fun story from P day two weeks ago: We decided to go to a beach because that would be lots of fun right? Well half way up the steep hill to the beautiful beach (where they filmed parts of Narnia??? look up Coromandel), our car decided to stop working. It just gave up. So the Elders had to push our car until it had enough momentum to go down by itself (thx physics/gravity), and then we spent the rest of the day stranded. In a beautiful countryside with a fun park in New Zealand, so I wasn't too upset, but stranded no less.

The other main highlight was trunk or treat! Me and my companion dressed up as each other (I'm in Islander clothing with a flower in my hair and Sis Mariteragi is wearing my dress and illuminati earrings...), and for trunk or treat we had a booth for the first time! We had a "good better best" option where if you played a game you got some candy, if you gave our number to a friend you got a cookie, and if you gave away a Book of Mormon, gave us a referral, or invited a nonmember to church you could pie us in the face! You already know which one all the kids wanted to do... Needless to say many copies of the Book of Mormon (no one finna argue with me on whether its "Books of Mormon or Book of Mormons" today...) were given away, and I left with whipped cream in my hair :')

Another cool thing (this is kinda boring so you can skip it if you want haha) was we had someone from Salt Lake come down and give us a training on OTC stuff! She also came and watched us do weekly planning, and we gave her and her mom their first NZ ice cream which is a big deal... but we learned so much about how to improve our online teaching and individual areas. It was awesome because basically everything we learned was from the Book of Mormon. (now to turn this into my spiritual thought...) I just love that no matter what the topic, the Book of Mormon is always related. It truly can help fix all our problems if we turn to it :)

love yous all ! Have a semana superbien!
