The best mission EVER

Fun quote of the week: "Singing is just controlled screaming" (by Sister raymond, my last companion. I just reread that and thought it was funny :))

Woah !! These past few weeks have been full of MIRACLES

We have found a few new people to teach! And we have had people come to church! We have two people we are regularly working with and have appointments with who are both great. They both just have a desire to better themselves and their families and enjoy what we have to offer. Now just to get them to come to church... speaking of we had a cool miracle! A member brought his friend, and his friend James was super into church! He even asked how one gets baptized into our church!. we offered to teach him but he said hed let the member know when hes ready. Hopefully its sooner than later...

For the rest of this transfer we have a new goal! Working with members! We were talking with a Sister the other day and she told us about how it's good we are baptizing people who come from humble circumstances, but a lot of the times the ward has to financially or spiritually provide for them. I had never really thought of that. When we brought that up with our bishop today, he was talking about how our ward is mostly first generation members and kind of lacks knowledge that a many members have. He said the best thing we could do for the ward is to have FHEs with families, but focus on Come follow me. I thought it was a great idea! So for comp study we went through come follow me for this upcoming week and instead of spiritual thoughts we are going to do come follow me with each family we visit. I was talking about it with Sister Spencer and we realized it's hard to expect a recent convert to stay active if the ward itself is struggling spiritually. So we are going to focus on strengthening the ward! Not through visits, but by helping teach them how they can best study the Book of Mormon, through come follow me! Of course we are not going to forget the people we are working with, but I am excited to see miracles in helping people come back to church and strengthen their testimony!

Sorry this email is super long I just have heaps of energy since I'm writing this Sunday night and then I'm going to copy and paste it tomorrow!! March Happenings 2019

I went with my primary class to temple square in March.  The missionaries took us on a tour and showed us the film about Joseph Smith and the short films about family.  I think most of the kids enjoyed it, I did.  I had forgotten how many things they have to do and see on temple square.  Glad we went when we did.  They will be closing temple square for 4 years for renovations and they are tearing down some of the buildings and rebuilding them!

Everyone at Grandma's for dinner one Sunday playing bean boozled!

Troy was in New Zealand with Kim and Brett fishing for a week!  He wrote it all up so he'll have to post his write up and pictures on here too.  These are the photos he sent while he was gone :)

Ana and I made cakes for the RS Birthday/preparedness fair at Church.

I copied these pictures of Grand and Kirsten off of their facebook pages.  They went up to Yellowstone with friends to go snowmobiling.  Looks like they survived the cold and had a wonderful time!  Happy 23rd Grant!

I also copied these pictures of Laila, they were just too cute not to post.

How Ethan sits in the pillows on the couch.  And Happy 17th Birthday to the baby in the family!!  Can we believe that he is almost considered an adult!?!?  How the time has flown by.

We had Lesli and Ryan's family stay overnight on their way down to Moab for Spring Break, this was the only picture I took!  One of them left this beautiful drawing on the chalkboard...  We had our fingers crossed that they would drive a little safer than they were implying they would be.

Feeder fish and my mom sent a picture of lunch with some of her sisters and sister-in-law, Darline.

Ethan found water behind the yard and now he has really bright ideas about putting a pond in our yard now.  Of course we need a really heavy March snow!
