Last week of July

Victor signed up for band in 6th grade and so we had him attend a two week band camp at school to make sure he liked it. He had picked the trumbone as his instrument and tada, he has loved it. He practices every day without me having to even ask. He's learned the basic notes and can play a couple simple songs already. Very exciting. Morgan is also in orchastra camp with her viola and last week Grant attended the jr. high schools basket ball camp. So a busy but successful week of camps at school. Tuesday we headed off to Lagoon with the Tufts. The girls hung out in the park while the boys spent the day at Lagoon-A-Beach. Fun times.

Wednesday we packed up so that when Troy arrived home from Brazil Thursday morning we could head off to Idaho for the yearly Keller Family Reunion.

Happy Birthday Morgan

We have been in Idaho for Morgan's birthday since she was 2 years old! That's when we go see the Keller side of the family. She feels it cheats her out of birthday parties all the time. So this year we planned ahead and had a swim birthday party for her the week before her actual birthday. The girls seemed to have a great time. We swam, then had lunch, had cake, opened presents and then played a game that Morgan had made up for them to play in the pool. It was a bit windy and about 15 minutes before I was going to have them get out of the pool it began to rain with thunder and lightening, so they jumped out without me having to say a word. Perfect timing. Happy Birthday cute girl. Love you tons and tons.

Trek

Grant when Troy picked him up from the church parking lot. Troy said he was pretty grumpy until he had showered and eaten some food, then he livened up and told all about his week on Trek in Wyoming.

Grant headed off to the church at 5:30 am on July 20th to go on Trek. I got up took a picture and went back to bed. Troy took him up to the church to put him on the bus, with his Trek family, that took him over the mountains to Wyoming. They divided up the families so that no one knew each other. He didn't get any pictures of him with his family, but they are having a reunion tomorrow night so hopefully we can get some from his Ma and Pa. Would have loved to have seen Grant pushing his handcart and helping his family out.

Girls Trip weekend of 24th

So Friday, the 23rd of July, I drove to St. George with my mom and her friend Jax. We went out to lunch and shopped and went out to dinner. We went down for a girls get-a-way and to see some shows. We met Tricia and Kathryn in Cedar City the next day to see Much A Do About Nothing, on of my favorite Shakespearian plays. They did a marvelous job and I laughted and laughted. We drove around for a bit and then watched the show on the lawn, the green show. Then that night saw Pride and Predjudice, another of my favorites. But we were a tad disappointed, there is so much to cover that it just jumped from scene to scene & line to line, which kills all the suspense and tension you need in that story. So we bought a copy of the movie and watched it the next morning before we headed home.

The next night our family had dinner with our good friends to celebrate their Ethan's birthday. It was a lot of fun and we even had some fireworks to say good-night.
