Peace, Hope and Love
As many of you may have heard, this past week there was a mass shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand. 50 and possibly more have died. My sorrowed heart hurts and grieves for the loss of those who passed away during this tragedy, the darkest day of New Zealand.
Doctrine and Covenants 105:38-40
38 And again I say unto you, sue for peace, not only to the people that have smitten you, but also to all people;
39 And lift up an ensign of peace, and make a proclamation of peace unto the ends of the earth;
40 And make proposals for peace unto those who have smitten you, according to the voice of the Spirit which is in you, and all things shall work together for your good
God will bring peace into the lives of the righteous, he will protect and bless the innocent. Continue to strive to make peace with enemies, stand out unto them.
Ether 12:4
Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
With hope we can strive to become better, continuously glorify God, and be an example to those struggling around us. Always hope for a better world, never doubt or give up on humanity.
Moroni 8:16
16 Wo be unto them that shall pervert the ways of the Lord after this manner, for they shall perish except they repent. Behold, I speak with boldness, having authority from God; and I fear not what man can do; for perfect love casteth out all fear.
With a perfect love, we can change the world. We will fear no man, and continue to do Gods work as he has asked us. Love everyone around you, especially when it's most difficult.
I know this gospel is true. It has blessed my life over and over. I know God is watching out for those all around the world, he will never leave our side. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Always much love,
Sister Keller

This is NEWTON -- From Sister Keller
Fun fact of the week: I have been asked multiple times if I'm from NZ because I use so much slang! Hahaha
This week was transfers!! I'm staying in Nawton, and am companions with Sister Fonua again!!! This will be her fourth transfer in Nawton, and I'm so pumped to be working with her again! We're going to get some good work done!
I feel like I haven't talked about the OTC in a while so I'll update you a bit on that :) some of the funniest phone calls I get to make are to the missionaries after sending a request to local, especially the Elders. As all of you know, I like to be sassy when appropriate. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not. For example. One time I was calling these two Elders to give them some back ground information on a Book of mormon request, and asked if I could tell them more about the referral. One cheeky Elder responded with "isnt that why you're calling?" And so I made a snarky remark and carried on. The next time I called his companion made him apologize to me! Haha
Another time I had been working with Elders down in Guatamala (the sisters found out I speak Spanish and now transfer all of the Spanish requests to me... RIP) and one of them used the fact that they were a zone leader against me so I laughed and reminded him I was giving the referral. He got a little upset so I had to tone it down after that...
To be a little bit more spiritual, I'll share a cool experience at the OTC. The Wi-Fi went down, which meant we couldnt do any work, since the whole OTC is dependent on computers. Most the sisters, myself included, decided it would be a good time to take a break since we couldnt do anything. But one of the STLs was actually thinking, and asked if we could all kneel and say a prayer. As soon as the prayer was said, the Wi-Fi was working again! I learned two valuable lessons: there is never time to waste when a missionary, and prayer will honestly work if you are sincere.
A really cool spiritual thought I'd like to share is in Alma 61:14. It reads: Therefore, my beloved brother, Moroni, let us resist evil, and whatsoever evil we cannot resist with our words, yea, such as rebellions and dissensions, let us resist them with our swords, that we may retain our freedom, that we may rejoice in the great privilege of our church, and in the cause of our Redeemer and our God.
Even though we do not have to necessarily resist evil with swords, sometimes our words are not enough. That is when our actions come into play. Many times people will attack us with words, but refuse to listen when we respond. The only way to maintain our courage in order to move on is to act how the Saviour would act. They can choose to not listen to our words, but they cannot unsee our actions. I know that my testimony has grown stronger as I have tried my hardest to act as I know Christ would want me to act.
I hope yous all have a wonderful week.
Much love,
Sister Keller
Oh yeah P.S if my email comes from morgan.55@missionary.org, that's my address I use at the OTC and I forgot to change it today Haha. It's still me, I pinky promise!!
Love love you all!

Mettle Ground Breaking
These are backwards so start at the bottom and scroll to the top to view the pictures. I drove Troy up to Idaho on Thursday for some meetings and for the Mettle ground breaking. We had some rain on and off for the entire drive, but no snow and only a couple of windy places. The sky would darken and the rain would begin, but there was always a little patch of blue sky somewhere. Very grateful for the peak of blue sky and no snow on the drive.
Mettle is the basketball arena that Klint, Troy, Kim and Brett have put together for players to have a place to practice and play basketball in Nampa. It's been in the works for a couple of years and started out about half the size that it's going to end up being. It will have 4 basketball courts, 3 dance studios and a fitness/speed area. Hopefully construction will begin now and Mettle's doors will open in September just in time for basketball season.
It was windy and cold, but the sun was warm. The bank brought the shovels and tents and the man who owns the land brought in the sand and set the tractors up in the back, which I thought was a great back drop for the event. He told Klint that he would bring in some iron. It looked awesome.
Kim welcomed and thanked everyone who came and who was involved. He had someone from the bank and city counsel say a few words and then Troy and Klint took a minute and then they threw their shovelful of dirt. It was pretty fun and very exciting to see everyone involved and how much they were looking forward to making this happen.

To Morgan, From Mom
Hey babe, I mean sister Keller,
in my scripture study this week I finished the doctrine and covenants so I continued on in the Pearl of great price. And in Moses this week I came across Moses chapter 5 verses 10 and 11. I thought I would share them with you because these are the verses that were added to the endowment film. With the changes made at the behind of the year, at one point Adam quotes verse 10 and Eve quotes verse 11. I should have realized that it came straight out of the scriptures!
Anyway, fun little scripture fact for the week 😊. Love you tons.

What Does It Take To Fill A Font?
Fun fact of the week: police officers here wear bright green coats (idk if they do that in the states but I've only ever seen it on British TV shows before now haha).
So we had baptism this week! It went as perfectly as a baptism could have gone, minus the preparation the night before...
All of Friday morning we had OTC meetings, so we didnt get back to our area until 4, which gave us very little time to visit all the members we needed to make the baptism happen. We finally got around to all the members we needed to see, did one last check up with the family getting baptized, then drove to the church to set up. When we got to the church, there were heaps of cars in the parking lot, so we bounced and grabbed Maccas because what other way is there than to drown your stress in McDonalds? (That's purely hypothetical, please do not answer) we at this moment, received a text from our bishop that the two boys didn't have white pants for tomorrow! So us being baby missionaries and not knowing what to do, started calling everyone we know to see if anyone had white pants. Our wonderful Zone Leaders told us there would most likely be some somewhere by the Relief Society room, so we decided to just brave the crowd and head back. we started driving towards the chapel, when a police car stopped us in the middle of the road. It was just a breathalyzer test, so we should be all goods, except for the fact that Fonua has never done a breathalyzer test before, so when they asked her to count to 5 she breathed very strongly into the machine. The police officer gave her a curious look and said no, he wanted her to count to five. So she looked him dead in the eyes and said "five!". He told her that will do and let us go (he probably made a note that she wasn't intoxicated, just crazy). We finally made it to the chapel and discovered why there were so many cars... it was a youth dance! We awkwardly walked in and started cleaningand filling the font. A few of the chaperones came in to see what we were up to, and even enocouraged us to join the dance (tsk tsk!) Needless to say we barely made it back to our flat by 9:30 Haha. But we had a beautiful baptism on Saturday morning, and the spirit was incredibly strong So long story short: what does it take to fill a font? Helpful members, a stress run to Maccas, a surprise breathalyzer test, a very loud youth dance, two confused sister missionaries, and many many prayers answered.
I know this church is true and I'm so grateful for the gospel in my life :) I know it sounds cheesy, but I really dont know where I'd be without Christ and his Atoning sacrifice in my life. I hope if any of you feel like you may be lacking faith, you can find the courage to pray and ask for guidance because I can guarantee, Heavenly Father will show you the way. Ofa Atu!
Much love,
Sister Keller
