So here are some random things goin on with me!
It's getting cold, so we are going to buy some longer dresses and skirts today!
I've been using this face wash and I havent had acne this whole week!! Its been great Haha.
I've really been practicing my cooking skills, and havent been too bad! The main thing we eat when members dont feed us is rice with vegetables cooked with onion in oil. It's super simple but so tastey as well!! Meto loooves jasmine rice, and I have really begun to enjoy the taste of it as well. It's been fun experiencing different polynesian foods!
This week has had its ups and downs. At the beginning of the week, I was really struggling and kind of wanted to go home. Not because I'm missing home that much, but because I've just felt done at trying and failing to be better. I prayed and asked why I've only been put with companions that push me to be slothful and disobedient, why hes put me in situations that He knows I won't be able to resist. After reading in the scriptures, I hears in my head "why do you think this is about you?" I realized that the trials and situations I'm put in are not just for me, but for others and i need to be more open to that. It really helped a lot :)
Also someone came on chat with a super interesting question! They asked "if christ performed the atonement so that we could return back to our Heavenly Father, why did he need to take our burdens upon him as well as our sins?" That really struck me hard. I know that christ took our burdens on him because he loves us, but it got me thinking about how he didnt need to. Did he? I guess I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinion on the question :)
Thanks for all the support! I love you guys lots :)
Sk
Deep questions!
So glad you found answers through prayer to some of your challenges. That was a powerful answer you received. I do hope you get a companion that helps you stay focused a little better. When are the next transfers by the way??
Jesus certainly has his free agency. I think he committed himself long before coming to earth, though even when here he had that moment where he asked if the cup could be passed from him. Unfortunately he was the only one who could save us. And he did!
I think the atonement is a great balancing that includes help in many things, including our burdens. He took them on in partnership with us. We still bear our burdens but we have someone to help us get through them so we don’t have to on our own. I suspect we’d be overpowered pretty quickly without his help.
Love Dad
